The rains hit Mumbai with a vengeance. It started just as the IPL ended and has been lashing since then. The Municipal corporation has been caught again on the wrong foot and Mumbai was flooded again.
Speaking of the rains, it did bring an end to the sweaty sun. The nights are snuggly cold and it does feel nice to have a warm blanket over you. But the rain brings its woes too.
Its getting difficult to go around and this morning when I arrived at the railway station, the indicator was almost blank. The only trains going toward Churchgate were coming from Virar and getting in them was really out of question. I look at the indicator and wait for some time. It just refuses to fill up the vacant slots. I decide to try the bus or the rickshaw.
The bus takes me more than a hour to reach office. I reach almost 2 hours after I left home. The monsoon is killing me already. I turn out exhausted for work
Speaking of work, its been quite busy. I have joined the project 4-5 months back and now I am getting into the groove but this has made me quite busy. A thousand things run in my mind with a countless task pending. This may be a tall tale but all the while I am in office, I always feel I am running out of time. Although I still make it out by 6:00 PM, the work leaves me blank for any ideas to write. That’s why I don’t write that much nowadays. I was even dreaming of work some days back.
Speaking of dreams, I had nightmares for three continuous days now. I am quite used to having nightmares but this is just too much. The worst thing about my nightmares are I just cannot wake up. They seem to continue forever. I have tried to watch feel-good movies so that I sleep with good thoughts but still the nightmare continue.
Speaking of nightmares, the bus trip to the office was one big nightmare. The AC bus was completely packed and the driver had the wicked pleasure of applying brakes. By the time I was reach office, my hands were paining trying to balance myself. Its a good thing that I left on time in the evening. By the time I came home, it had started raining heavily again.
Speaking of rains, rains are playing havoc in Mumbai again!
