Another 100 and another milestone. Full2 Faltu will complete 600 post in a few days and as per the tradition I started during the 400th post, I am inviting guest writers to write on Full2 Faltu. I had requested 10 writers to write for Full2 Faltu. The best part is that 11 people agreed to take the task. So for the next 11 post, it will be 11 writers writing on 11 different topics.
There are first time writers and some of them have been writing for some time now. I hope you like what you read and please do comment. They would love that! I hope I see more comments for these writers.
The earlier writer
Actually he needs no introduction as he has been quite famous here. He is the founder and the brain behind Pray Foundation. Pray Foundation will receive 50% of the donation generated because of the guest writers writing on Full2 Faltu. Here he writes about responsibilty toward society/
Despite us achieving year to year economic growth of 8-9%, how come we still have over 40% of people living below poverty line?
Perhaps I am over sensitive to the issue(s) or perhaps I have lost the plan completely. I don’t know, but this question of late bothers me a lot and some time I just wonder if I (we) are doing enough to ensure that the success of the economic growth is reaching to the far flung villages?
Is it purely a government led function? Or is there something I (we) as individuals can contribute?
The overview becomes more complex when I think about many others who were born exactly on the same day and at the same time in some of the remote parts of my country. Perhaps I was one of the lucky ones to be born in a family with reasonable financial strengths and while pursuing right opportunities which came my way, attained the success that I perhaps deserve? But what about others? Is it luck or destiny? Did they get any opportunity to learn & grow (that is if they ever came out of the vicious circle of making both ends meet every day)?
Through your forum, Punds, I would like to invite some thoughts from readers who can perhaps bring some meaning to the dilemma ? I think it is extremely important for us to realize as to how important & satisfying the feeling is to enable a set of opportunities for someone who is not as fortunate as I (we) are without waiting for the government lead programs take shape and bring the change. I think our efforts will only ‘increase’ the speed of economic growth?
What do you guys and gals out there have to say?
