A couple of days back, one of my colleagues wanted to scan his residence card. Residence card is your personal identification card, a sort of visa to stay and work in Netherlands.
As we did not know the location of the scanner in office, I did the next big thing I normally do. I almost always have my digital camera in my bag. Using the macro mode, I can take the picture of the document and then send it as attachment. I have used the technique a couple of time in emergencies.
The residence card has photo and name of the holder on one side and some details at the back. The picture of the holder is embossed on the back of the card to prevent counterfeiting.
I took the photo of his residence card. When I looked at the picture, the result was kind of interesting. I took photo of my residence card too and here the result was normal. It was my friend’s residence card which gave the strange effect.
Have a look (The photo and name of the person has been blanked for security reasons)
