A few thoughts
I hate the word settled or settling down especially terming marriage as settled. Whenever I hear that word, I imagine a small pond, a very dirty pond with lots of muck on the water, a lot of flies flying around with moss around the pond and stinking like anything. On this quite water, you drop a big heavy stone. Just as the stone hits the water, the quietness is shattered, the water loses its calmness and the stone settles down at the bottom of the pond with all the muck, water and dirt over it. That stone at the bottom of the pond is called settling down and then everything else starts settling on the stone.
A friend, Kedar commenting on Settling down. (as marriage is referred) and Yes, he is married and he also calls his wife his addiction for life. Note: Recalling what he had said and reconstructing it trying not to lose the actual meaning as he said it in Marathi and English.
