The City looks beautiful at nights with lots of lights being reflected from the water of the canals.
Just like the pictures of the canal in front of Amsterdam Centraal Station. Buses, Trams, Trains and metro meet at Amsterdam Centraal. Its a entry into the city and as expected you see tourist ferries ready to take you on a tour of Amsterdam through the canals.
The Ferries for tours available. Normally some services shut down at 6:00 PM but some do have night services with a nice candle light dinner and all.
The Victoria hotel in front of Centraal station is a prominent building and so is the Ibis hotel next to Centraal station with its multi-floor cycle stand

The Amsterdam Centraal station is undergoing a massive re-construction and is supposed to be completed by 2011. Since the time I came here 2 years back, I have been seeing the construction work going on.

The days are shorter during the winters and when I come in the morning, the sun is just coming out. While standing on Lelylaan station from where I take a metro to my office, I see the morning light just breaking at dawn and the street lights still on.
The Leidseplein is the most happening place of Amsterdam. Lined with restaurants, cafes and theatres, it is the place to be during weekends. You will find people enjoying food an drinks and also street performance here.
With the coming Sinterklass celebration and Christmas celebration, Liedseplein is much more decorated than normal days of the year.

The Stadsschouwburg theatre which plays musicals, plays and cabarets. Sometimes you have a group of four musicians playing wonderful music at the corner of this theatre.
