Few days back I was reading news about a Chennai cop who has many records registered against him in the Guinness Book of World record. Most of them are stupid like rotating the left hand for 20000 times, or carrying 15 Kgs of weight around for some hours continuously. I mean what kind of world record is that. Tomorrow I could make a record of eating 400 jalabis and then going 30 times to the toilet in one day.
So in continuing with the tradition of World record, here are my own personal world record which only I have the right to break. This list may be or may not be updated depending on my mood to use my hidden talent. Before I start, let me warn you that these is being done by professional like me and any attempt to perform the same can lead to frustration, anger and even insanity.
The number of compensatory offs I have in my office. For those mortals who have every weekend off, compensatory off is that holiday which you earn when you work on a weekend and public holiday and in my case do a double shift. I have earned this holiday in almost four years. I don’t touch my Privilege leave or Casual leave at all. In total I should be having somewhere around 300+ holidays.
The number of hours I have worked continuously in a day in the office. I had achieved this when there was a big audit in my office and I had to work the whole night. After I reach home at 7:00 AM, I was back in office at 12:00 noon. What dedication?
The number of hours I have gone without sleep. I was doing the graveyard shift those days. I started on Thursday and ended on a Sunday morning. A total of 52 hours at a stretch. Amazing!
The number of days I had worked without a leave. Although I have known people to go on working without a leave for months, this is special because I have put more that 14 hours a day in office. This does not include the 2 hours traveling time.
And these are my records for Netherlands
The number of days without leave in Netherlands. That too without weekend. I achieved this record a month back.
The number of hours without sleep that I had gone. I started on a Friday evening, did a night shift for a go-live, spent Saturday whole day working at home and then slept at 3:00 AM on Sunday after watching two movies in a row.
The number of hours I spent in the office in a single day. This excludes the couple of hour I take to reach office.
Nothing but addition of all the numbers above. Got you?
So I am still trying to get these records on the Guiness Book and that Chennai cop does another record of jumping into 18cms of water. How pathetic?
