The middle of the week. Still 2 days to go before the weekend. Today morning when I came to office, I really did not have any idea what I was going to write about. But thoughts have its way. A friend of mine send me a quote which he might have received through SMS. One of the several quotes you receive in mails. But for just for the fun of it, I questioned him. and what started was a series of debate over the mail
The quote was
Love is like playing the piano. First, you play by the rules..
Then, you must forget the rules and play from the heart…
What are the rules? Who makes them? And how these rules apply to all people. As a matter of fact love is an emotion and love is governed by emotion. There are no fixed rule or criteria to love somebody. You just love somebody or you don’t. You may not have any rules for the person you love. You may have some criteria for the kind of person you want to marry in an arranged marriage. But in love it has to click. No rules apply there.
If ever you have any rules to make somebody love you then that would be manipulation. And love does not succeed by manipulation. It succeeds by feeling, very intense feeling. The ways you convince the other person depend upon how true your feelings are and how good you can convince. If the feelings are true you don’t need to show them. They will be seen by your gestures.
A good topic for a debate. Or just a chance to waste away your time. You decide
