Another 100 and another milestone. Full2 Faltu will complete 600 post in a few days and as per the tradition I started during the 400th post, I am inviting guest writers to write on Full2 Faltu. I had requested 10 writers to write for Full2 Faltu. The best part is that 11 people agreed to take the task. So for the next 11 post, it will be 11 writers writing on 11 different topics.
There are first time writers and some of them have been writing for some time now. I hope you like what you read and please do comment. They would love that! I hope I see more comments for these writers.

Aksfilmi is a filmi buff and Bollywood buff to be precise. Here he writes about the dreams about the Indian film industry.

This is a desire of everyone who loves bollywood and pray/hope that it becomes bigger and better to match international standard
What does taking Indian cinema on next level means? Does it mean making Hollywood kind of films, does it mean making films with so called intellectual value which caters to a small section of people, does it mean making films for international festivals. We can interpret this in our own ways. But for me it simply mean making a complete entertainer, which has little more sensibility and technical brilliance then most Indian commercial films, a film you can enjoy in theatre but also can carry with yourself and think about it little.
Let’s not forget our films have evolved from our theatre traditions and thus songs dance are part of it and therefore I don’t want them to go but will expect a filmmaker to use them more sensibly. If we want world to take our cinema seriously we need to tell them our story. Show them glimpses of our culture and tell them it’s much more then just snake charmers or maharajas riding elephant though they are part of it.
And when we talk of taking Indian cinema at next level we need some one who has experience and passion both and whose experience and success is not limited to couple of films. One such filmmaker with all these qualities is Mani Ratnam. Man who gave us Nayakan, Anjali, Roja, Bombay, Dil Se, Yuva and many more. His works talk about it all. He is such a great storyteller. Technically his films are brilliant and when it comes to Music, he is the one who gave us A R Rehman. I hope he goes and makes The Mahabharata, which is still in uncertainties. May be that would be India’s answer to Lord of Rings and would make the world realize genius of this man because though we all consider him great filmmaker but tend to forget him when talking about best filmmakers in India.
