The love for music is universal. Almost everybody likes some form of music. Over the years, I have loved a lot of songs. Somewhere down the road, many of these songs have become hits. I don’t have a favorite song as such but I have a whole list. Being a hit means that a song is loved by many people. Also it means that it is heard more number of times than normal. I have found myself falling out of love to these overplayed songs so much so that I wished they had never become such a hit.
And there are some songs which never become hit for some reason of the other. The lyrics are good, the song is good, the singer has sung it well but then it does not work with the people. Over a period of time, it gets lost in time somewhere and when you hear it once in a blue moon, its bliss. These songs could have been hits and for some reasons, they never were.
This is about those songs;
The missed hits, The unsung hits

Robby Grewal had an impressive flop debut as a director. Impressive because he directed a thriller which did not have any romantic angle and which had the heroine as the main character with no hero in the film. Brave and risky!
In spite of the absurd climax, the movie “Samay” starring Sushmita Sen was quite a good movie. The movie flopped not because it was bad but just because it was not supposed to be a hit for the simple reason that Sushmita Sen was not a big actress then. This was before “Main Hoon Naa”
Robby Grewal did come back in 2007 and this time it was a teenage love story. “Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar” or MP3 for short was a sweet romantic teenage unusual love story. However cheesy the name may sound, the movie had a new pair and was quite entertaining. I would have given it a miss but was interested because of the director. After all we like the movies to be entertaining. It was not a candy floss romance like Karan Johar makes but it was good and watching it made you remember your own teenage crushes.
The songs were peppy and good. The title song which was used in all promos was sung by KK and he had sung it quite beautifully. In spite of the only song being promoted, the song did not become a hit. It worked till the promos shown on TV.
This is one good song and even though it has some rap lyrics in between, it is a beautiful song with good music good vocals and good lyrics.

Na jaane kab yeh huwa, na kisi ko khabar, na khud ko pata Khoye khoye rehte hum yahan hain Silsilo ka silsila hai, huwa shuru abb jo nikle bhi jaan abb se hai hum raahi chaahton ke Yeh jaise phela nasha, woh pheli nazar, phela guma Yuun lage mohabbat hi jahaan hai Doston ki dosti, yaaron ki yaari kam lagne lagi Behke hai hum behka yeh sama hai Kaise samjhaau tumhe mera phela phela pyaar hai yeh o o o.... Aankhon mein aitbaar hai yeh o o o.... Mera phela phela pyaar hai yeh o o o.... Aankhon mein aitbaar hai yeh o o o.... Hawa bhi mili thi humein, jhokon mein pooch rahi thi Pyaar yeh agar nahi toh phir kya hai Aye aasmaan tu bhi aajkal sang chalta hai, saaath leke chanda taare Kaise samjhaau tumhe mera phela phela pyaar hai yeh o o o.... Aankhon mein aitbaar hai yeh o o o.... Mera phela phela pyaar hai yeh o o o.... Aankhon mein aitbaar hai yeh o o o....
