A Dog, A Rabbit and Going Down

The family has a new pet. In addition to Sheru, Sunheri and the fishes, they got a rabbit. As it jumped around, it was named Jumpo. Now jumpo is a small white rabbit. Looking at her…..it’s a her. Now looking at her I remember the song which we sang in our childhood or my mother sang it for us. It went;

Sasa re sasa kapoos jasa
Tyane kaswachyi paij lavili……

I don’t remember the whole song but it was about the tortoise and the rabbit story. But this is not about the slow and steady. This is about jumpo, the rabbit. He is small and still a kid and lives in a big cage. A few days back he was let loose and allowed to roam around the drawing room.

The only problem was Sheru. Nobody knew how Sheru would react. Would he play like he was a small ball or would he become aggressive toward it. Fortunately nothing like that happened. Both were extremely comfortable toward each other. Jumpo was not bothered by Sheru’s towering personality. Sheru was extremely jealous of Jumpo when everyone would talk lovingly to her. He would want attention and giving up on the position of the most loved animal in the house is not easy for him.

And still he was comfortable with Jumpo to do this

Sheru’s bowl of food is divided into two. One for his dog food and one for the water. A rare incident when we found Sheru eating his food and Jumpo drinking water from his bowl. After all, friendship is sharing.

Accompaning Sheena and her cousin to “Raceplanet” last weekend had me playing on the different slides. How does it feel to come down a slide when your body slides down to the solid ground. I don’t think there is much fear. I should do it on a bigger slide. Only attraction was it came down from darkness to light. This was fun. I need to do this for a bigger slide, much bigger slide
