30+

Since I started Full2 Faltu, I have been in the late 20s then 30 and today I went on to become early 30s. I am growing old. Another year, another birthday and the celebration starts again. This year I received a lot of wishes. Gone were the days when I would celebrate my birthday all my myself.

The day started at 12:00 Midnight, when Pranav, Ranjana and a sleepy Sheena wished me a happy birthday and gave me presents. Vijay once asleep has difficulty to wake up. But he made up by waking me up with a bed tea and a brownie. 

I already had started receiving mails for my birthday in the morning. Yatin sent me another birthday card he designed. I am thinking of appointing him full-time header image designer for Full2 faltu.

I was trying to get the hot sexy Spanish girl for my birthday bash. However my persuassion fell on deaf ears since she gave me a number of reason for not attending, one being that she lives more that 1500 Kms from Amsterdam. What lame excuses can girl give? To think of it, I haven’t even sent her my picture. How pathetic can it get? Now girls are rejecting me even before seeing me.

However to give her due credit, Monica was the first one to wish me after the family.

I got two and a half cake for the office. That means two big cakes and two small strip of cakes. The cakes cut in 35 pieces were gone in half hour.

As for the gift, I received quite a few T-shirts, one shirt and one trouser.

During my school days, one day each boy was allowed to wear colorful clothes other than the school uniform. The day was the boy’s birthday. For years after years, I had seen boys coming in colorful clothes and celebrate their birthday. Unfortunately for me, my birthday fell in the month of May, the summer vacation. So I never wore colorful dress to school.

Now 31 years after my existence, I wore brand new clothes on my birthday for office when others wore normal office clothes. The first time in my life I wore a coat today. Surprising it may seem but I did not own any coat till now. Today I was in office with a coat Vijay bought for me from India and interestingly I looked quite good in it.

Ok! I don’t know how to mix Margarita but I know to make great tea. Anyone still interested?

In the evening, I cut the cake and had some friends over.

A good birthday. However the best wishes were by Sheena at 12:00 Midnight. She was awake almost till the clock strike midnight but she was feeling very sleepy. She finally slept just before midnight. When I met her at midnight, she was fast asleep. Her mother woke her up. She looked at me with sleepy eyes and said

“Happy Birthday Pundu uncle”

I thanked her and the next moment she said

“Good night Pundu Uncle”

The next moment she was in bed fast asleep.

It feels odd to be on the other side of 30. I wouldn’t say that I feel sad about being 31 but its like almost half life gone. Its not been the perfect of life but it was not a waste either. Its been a wonderful life. People and experiences, I have seen a lot. I don’t know what will happen after this but hope it will be as good as possible.
