There is something about having wooden floors. When you walk on them, they make big noises. Even the wooden floors in neighbor’s house could create a sound as if someone is moving in the house.
Boy, that is scary!

But basically, what is also sad when you are alone is the fact that you are not able to share your thoughts with anyone when you arrive from work/classes (even if you are not a very chatty person, like in my case, you will miss it) unless you pick up the phone, of course… when your only companion is the TV or the radio… :-(
Anyway, as you said… there are also some good things.
